Miss Sarah - Studio Director
Miss Sarah has been teaching dance in the Macarthur Area for 30 years.
She is a high school teacher with a Bachelor of Design and Technology (Business Management Major)/ Bachelor of Education and in recent years completed her Diploma in Dance Teaching and Studio Management.
Miss Sarah has a love for dance that is infectious and she loves sharing her passion with dancers of all ages. Her own personal training commenced when she was 5 years old - she has studied ballet (RAD & BBO), jazz (BAL), tap (BAL, LGTDA, Pullars), modern, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre. As a young dancer, Miss Sarah was a member of a youth contemporary dance company as well as a commercial dancer performing many shows and corporate events. She has also choreographed for Schools Spectacular, Disneyland Company tours, Sydney School Performing Ensembles, Rock Eisteddfod and Wakakirri, film clips and TV specials.
Each year, Miss Sarah continues to train to hone her skills and keep pace with the ever changing dance industry. She has trained at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Peridance Center, Alvin Ailey, Pineapple Studios, The Edge Performing Arts Center, Milennium Dance Complex, Movement Lifestyle, LA Dancefit, Sydney Dance Company Studios. She is also a member of Ausdance and has completed her Progressive Ballet Technique Certification along with her Level 1 Alixa Flexibility Training.
Miss Sarah is a passionate teacher and believes that every dancer should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential. She is a fierce advocate for safe dance practice principles, delivering positive dance teaching and making sure classes are FUN. Her classes deliver strong technique which is age appropriate - while ensuring that not only are dancers extended but also that no dancer is left behind.
Breanna Warters
Breanna Warters is a passionate dancer who commenced training at the age of 2. She is currently studying full time a Bachelor of Dance Practice at the Australian Institute of Physical Education with her aim to become a tertiary qualified Dance Teacher. Last year she completed her Certificate IV in Dance with Ev & Bow. More recently Bree performed with Locreado Dance Company in their most recent season 'Pause' at NIDA.
Specialising in contemporary dance, Breanna also has advanced skill in ballet (Adv. Found RAD), jazz, lyrical and hip hop. In 2016, she travelled to New York and Los Angeles with Miss Sarah to undertake training in all genres - this cemented her desire to pursue dance as a career.
Breanna also trained in teaching with Miss Sarah - assisting with Jazz and Lyrical classes for 2 years. This ensures that she brings a positive, energetic approach to her classroom.
Miss Bree will be teaching Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz and Ballet this year. Her goal is to ensure every student can learn and excel in a positive and fun environment.
Rebecca Dunshea
Bec Dunshea has been training in all styles of dance since 3 years of age - however she is most passionate about ballet. She has completed exams in ballet (Intermediate RAD), tap (BAL) and jazz (BAL) - and has also trained in lyrical, contemporary and hip hop.
Bec has travelled to the USA for training on a number of occasions with a focus on Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Horton technique. She has taken class with master teachers such as Michele Wiles, David McAllister, Andrey Silantyev, Beth Goheen, Nicole Harlan to name a few.
Bec also holds her Certificate IV in Fitness - so is a qualified personal trainer and also a Zumba Instructor. She has completed units in fitness for kids and teenagers and also has her first aid certificate.
Miss Bec will be specialising in teaching our Tiny Dancers and 5/6 year olds. Her goal is to have all her students love dance as much as she does!
Sian Sherwood ARAD RTS
Sian began dancing at age 4 in QLD studying Royal Academy of Dance Ballet, CSTD Tap, Jazz and Theatrical genres.
Sian has trained extensively in Ballet, Character, Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary. Sian completed her RAD Grades and Vocational levels to Advanced 2, gaining a Distinction for each examination.
Following a year of fulltime dance training in 2016, Sian was a Semi Finalist in the International RAD Geneé Ballet Competition. In 2017, Sian moved to Melbourne to take up her place in the Victorian State Ballet's Pre-Professional program. She danced in a number of the Company productions throughout Victoria and in Adelaide. She gained knowledge of the Company's full repertoires of Gabriel, The Magic Toy Shop, Snow White and Cinderella. Sian was also part of the Victorian State Ballet's Australian Premiere of Le Corsaire .
After returning to Sydney, Sian successfully completed a certification in Progressing Ballet Technique and Ready Set Dance. She is a fully qualified RAD Teacher having completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies through the Royal Academy of Dance under the guidance of Trudi Pallone at Sonja Dene Dance Studios.
Miss Sian is excited to share her love of ballet with her students.
Mandy Warters - Stylist/Costume Co-ordinator
Mandy is no stranger to the performing arts scene, training in all facets of performing arts from age 5. For the past 17 years she has been a familiar face at eisteddfods and backstage at dance concerts assisting with dressing and the running of events.
Mandy is a make-up artist and hair stylist and has an eye for detail when it comes to putting together costumes and looks for on stage or for more casual performance events. We are extremely fortunate to have her working behind the scenes to ensure we are always looking our best when we hit that stage.
Ashleigh Thompson - Assistant Teacher
Miss Ash has been training in all facets of dance since she was 3 years of age. Originally referred to dance classes by her physiotherapist because she was a 'toe walker', Ashleigh absolutely loved it from day one - although she really found her feet when it came to training in hip hop, jazz and tap when was a teenager. Originally training in RAD Ballet with Mrs Bonner, she commenced training with Miss Sarah in her teenage years working hard to develop her own hip hop style and flare. She completed her junior teacher training with Sarah Martin at Razzle Dazzle Dance Studio and loves working with dancers of all ages.
Over the years Miss Ash has continued dance with Zumba Fitness and attending various workshops and events. Miss Ash has studied Tourism Management at university and was previously a travel agent. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with our dancers each week.
