Autumn Term News 2025
What a wonderful first Term of classes for 2025.
It was wonderful to meet so many new dancers and amazing to have all our dancers back in the studio and keen to dance their hearts out in 2025.
Please rest assured all dancers have been transferred to our Autumn Term and booked into the same program. Please email the office if you would like to make any variation to your enrolment.
Our Monday afternoon Tap/Jazz program is at capacity and can not accept any new enrolments at this time. If you are looking for additional classes for your 5/6 year old dancer - please consider our Thursday, Friday or Saturday class offerings.

MID YEAR RECITAL
This Term will see us commence our routines for the Mid Year Recital. A few classes have learnt small movement phrases at the end of the Summer Term as they were so excited to start working on their routines. Technique work will continue each week, along with learning our routines and costume fittings.
In the lead up to our Mid Year Recital we ask that students try not to miss any classes. This will give them the best chance of feeling confident when they are on stage. Dancers are welcome to bring iPads or phones to record themselves so they can practice at home. We do, however request that you don't watch them practice as we like to give you a little surprise on the day.
Mid Year Recital information will be in your mailbox shortly and can also be downloaded at the bottom of this newsletter.
This is our first year using the brand new Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre. We are all a little excited and nervous to test out this new facility. Ticketing is strictly by the centres administrators - so finger crossed for a smooth process!

DISNEYLAND CREW
Our dancers have put in an incredible amount of hard work over term one to get their show underway, and following such an amazing performance at Camden Show we are so excited to see everything come together! ​
In late August/early September, our Disneyland crew will be hosting a family and friends night filled with food, drinks, lots of fun - and of course - our full Disneyland performance. More information coming soon!

WORKSHOPS
Sydney Dance Company - a variety of workshops held for all ages and abilities during the Autumn school holidays - April 14-24 - book via the Sydney Dance website
Dynamite Studios Tour - a 2.5 hour high energy workshop for dancers aged 14+ with some of Dynamite Studios' leading choreographers - July 7 - book via their website
Light The Way - 2 day dance convention full of workshops, masterclasses and industry panel Q&A sessions with come of Australia's best choreographers. You can book for either one or two days. Book via Ticketek​
BALLET EXAM PREPARATION
This term is a busy time for our ballet dancers with not only our Mid Year Recital but the final decisions regarding examination participation.
Should you wish to be considered for an RAD Ballet examination - it is essential that you are attending a minimum of two classes per week from Grade 1 Ballet and above and one of those classes must be with Miss Sian.
If you wish to add a ballet class to your schedule please email the studio ASAP.

WHAT HAVE OUR TEACHERS BEEN UP TOO???​
At the end of last term Miss Sarah visited the Dance Teacher Expo in Queensland where she was lucky enough to take classes and network with some wonderful teachers and business mentors.
Miss Sarah has also recently started working at the Uni of Wollongong - delivering dance workshops to the future generation of teachers.
Miss Izi has recently been awarded the title of ARAD (Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance) as an achievement in recognition of her teaching ability.
